DR. TODD WALKER
Owner
Dr Todd Walker is a native Idahoan, growing up in Idaho Falls. After high school, he entered the Air Force and became an Aircraft Electrical Systems Specialist. Following his tour in the Air Force, he joined the Idaho Air National Guard, also as an Electrical Systems Specialist, working on F4 Phantoms. During his time as an electrician, He served several tours in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm.
In 1996, Dr Walker received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Health from Boise State. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Science Degree at the University of Minnesota in 2001. In 2004, he finished construction of River City Dental, which has been part of the Garden City community ever since. In 2007, Dr Walker was asked to return to the Idaho Air National Guard, as the Commander of the Air Guard Dental Unit. In 2022, after 23 years of service, he retired from the Air National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel.
To further enhance his dental education, Dr Walker has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in the specialty areas of Implant Dentistry, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry and Periodontics, including the LANAP\LAPIP procedures. He is currently a provider for Sure Smile Orthodontic aligners and has been straightening smiles with clear aligners for over twenty years. He is a member of the Idaho State Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, as well as the American Dental Society.
Dr Walker and his wife Windy, who happens to be the River City Dental Office Manager, raised their three children Blake, Paige and Matthew, within the Boise School District. All three attending Hidden Springs Elementary, Riverglen Jr. High, and Capital High School. Paige is currently a Dental Assistant at River City Dental.
In his spare time, Dr Walker enjoys golf, pickle ball, skiing, boating and fishing. He,and his wife Windy, also love spending time with their dogs, Sammy and Lucy.
WINDY WALKER
ADMISSIONS
Originally from Kenai Alaska, Windy moved to Boise in 2006 and joined RCD in 2007.Since then, she has had many roles in the front office, but has been Office Manager since 2009. Windy enjoys working along with the best dental team and Doctor, along with helping and interacting with patients. Windy has a passion for making our practice, patients and dental team run smoothly and efficiently by making sure everyone has everything needed to perform successfully.
JESS HOLT
INSTRUCTOR
Jessica has been in the dental field since 2004 after receiving her certificate in dental assisting from The Academy of Professional Careers. She has knowledge in many aspects of dentistry, and has gained experience with Cerec, LANAP, and Guided implant placements in combination with surgical guides.
